Peptone from vegetable III is an enzymatic hydrolysate of specially selected vegetable proteins and is recommended for use in bacteriological media. It can successfully replace meat peptone like e.g. peptone from meat, pancreatic (cat. no. 48619). It is recommended for use in general purpose culture media for routine cultivation of a variety of microorganisms. It is as well suitable for mass scale cultivation of microorganisms for antibiotics, enzymes, vitamins production or for other similar products of microbial origin. Free flowing powder. Soluble in distilled water. 1 % aqueous solution remains clear without haziness even after autoclaving at 121 °C for 15 minutes.
